Our “Full Managed Service Plan” includes unlimited IT support. In essence we give you an unlimited amount of support (labour) for a fixed price per month. This means we don’t bill you by the hour to fix problems. If we’re not billing you by the hour for our time, it’s in our interest to fix problems when they’re small and to maximize our efficiency in fixing them. So we’ve made it our business to stop problems happening and to deal with failures before they become catastrophes.
(While we have spent some Christmas and New Year “holidays” rebuilding servers that other companies couldn’t fix, it’s not efficient. We much prefer preemptive, strategic support that prevents problems in the first place. Then we get to do more innovative projects and less disaster recovery).
